The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers on the community.
SASSA will probably be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency stated it is alarmed concerning the high variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is due to lack of infrastructure at status sassa Fernie and there's no totally functional office focused on service the area daily. The services level made for intervention activities a superior inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for that office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to allow the servicing of all clients and improve usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
